I'm Peter, the owner and (one of) the craftspeople at Sidetracked Workshop. I live and work in Portland, OR.
Sidetracked Workshop started in 2020 as an umbrella to capture my various ventures and projects around building, furniture making, and a variety of other whimsical ideas that sidetrack my attention.
I particularly fell in love with the form and aesthetic of record consoles and storage. Music collections and taste are so personal and defining. A physical collection of vinyl has so much of its own character already. There is a ritual to putting on and enjoying a vinyl record from a collection. My own record console sits proudly displayed as a centerpiece in my home. Creating high quality, stylish, vibey, storage options to highlight your collection is my passion.
When not in the workshop, I enjoy gardening, snowboarding, lounging with my dog, and of course... listening to good music.
